CHEETAH knowledge Exchange Portal is an integral part of CHEETAH project web site powered and developed by DTE unit of ENEA ©2014 - 2018 with support of all CHEETAH Partners. Starting from early 2018, CHEETAH KEP moved its first steps to became EERA Knowledge Exchange Platform for PV Technology (KEPT-PV). A new name for the previous platform characterizing our will to serve better and more efficiently in Knowledge Exchange a wider European and International PV RTD community.

Description of organization

The University of Verona with  22,000 students, and 1,500 teaching and non-teaching staff is classified among the  top 200 universities in Europe (ref.  Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2015-2016)  . It has strong links to the local and national and international community.

The RTD in solar cells  in this university  is concentrated at the Laboratory for Applied Physics  (LAPS).  This lab is involved in  preparation, fabrication and characterization of second generation thin film solar cells. CdTe thin film solar cells with efficiencies exceeding 15% have been fabricated, also flexible solar cells deposited on polymer foils with more than 10% efficiency have been made. Other alternative materials for photovoltaics are also studied. SnS solar cells with 1.5% efficiency have been fabricated. The laboratory is equipped with many different vacuum deposition machines, and electrical and morphological characterization instruments.
