FOR RESEARCH AND TECHNOLOGICAL DEVELOPMENT
CHEETAH knowledge Exchange Portal is an integral part of CHEETAH project web site powered and developed by DTE unit of ENEA ©2014 - 2018 with support of all CHEETAH Partners. Starting from early 2018, CHEETAH KEP moved its first steps to became EERA Knowledge Exchange Platform for PV Technology (KEPT-PV). A new name for the previous platform characterizing our will to serve better and more efficiently in Knowledge Exchange a wider European and International PV RTD community.

Short Bio

Prof. Fabio Bellina is Full Professor of Organic Chemistry at the Department of Chemistry and Industrial Chemistry of the University of Pisa, where he is the scientific leader of the Advanced Organic Synthesis Lab (AOSL).
The development of regioselettive procedures for obtaining organic dyes used in smart materials and in solar harvesting devices is among the main research interests of Prof. Bellina. This activity began in 2011 as part of the project "New polymeric systems with electrical and optical features via nano and micro adhesive dispersion for the production of materials and devices for smart apps” under which he dealt with the synthesis of new heteroaromatic organic fluorophores for new “stimuli-responsive” polymeric materials. This activity continues in the project MIUR-FIRB "Design of heterogeneous Nano-materials for solar energy conversion". In 2011, Prof. Bellina started a collaboration with Prof. Bignozzi (University of Ferrara) aimed at obtaining new organic ligands for photovoltaic cells. This collaboration was extended, in 2015, to the research groups of Prof. Graetztel and Prof. Hagfeld (EPFL Lausanne), to develop new promising hole transport materials (HTMs) for solid state organic solar cells. Currently, Prof. Bellina is the scientific leader of the research project of the University of Pisa “New organic materials for the concentration and the use of solar energy”.
Prof. Bellina is author of 100 articles in international journals (including several review), of an international patent and of two national patents. He scores an h-index of 38, and an hc index of 25.
